Buying Portland CondoPortland Condos.  Buying a condo  in Portland Oregon You Tube.  Looking to purchase a condo in Portland Oregon?  Here are some suggestions to consider while thinking about your new condo in Portland!

Buying a condo in Portland Oregon has some things to consider.  One of the first things to decide is the neighborhood you would like to purchase a condo.  We have some great Portland condo neighborhoods including the Pearl District, Northwest Nob Hill, Downtown Portland, South Waterfront and some nice condo buildings close in on the east side.  If being close to public transportation is important might want to consider a neighborhood or building close to the Max line or Portland Streetcar.  Perhaps you would like to be close to the theater, boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants or one of our wonderful parks.

Another thing to consider is the size of the condo you would like to have.  Many of our condos here in Portland are one bedrooms.  We do have several studios and two bedrooms but our most common condo is a one bedroom.  Many of my clients would like a two bedrooms so I suggest they consider a one bedroom with a den that could be used as a second bedroom as we have many condos with this type of floor plan.

The location of the condo for sun exposure and view is also an important consideration.  If your condo is located on the east side of the building you may have morning sun and a view of the mountains.  On the west side of Portland condos, you might see the sunset and or have a view of the west hills.  In the Pearl District if your condo is located on the south side might have a view of Downtown Portland such as in The Henry Condos, The Elizabeth Lofts, Metropolitan condos and the new Cosmopolitan condos have several condos with a great view our city skyline. If a river view is something you would like we have many wonderful condo buildings with a view of the Willamette River.  Some of those condos in Portland Oregon are Riverscape condos, Pacifica condos, Waterfront Pearl condos, The Strand and in South Waterfront the Atwater Condos and the Meriwether condos.

Perhaps you have a pet.  As we have many great parks in our condo neighborhoods such as Tannersprings, Jamison Square and the fields park in the Pearl District.  In Downtown Portland, we have South Blocks park.  Over in Northwest Nob Hill Portland there are some smaller parks plus our large urban Forest Park with great trails for hiking with your pet.

The other think to consider is if you are planning on renting out your new condo in Portland Oregon.  Many of my clients are wanting to purchase now then perhaps in a few years when they are ready will move in.  In the meantime, they would like to rent out their condo.  Or maybe you are an investor and would like to rent out your condo.  As most of our Portland condo buildings have bylaws with a 25 to 30% rental cap during the process if there is a building or condo you are interested in we can check  with the property management as to where the building currently is with their rental percentage.

These are just a few things to consider.  If you have questions or like to view any properties please reach out to me via email, phone or through my contact page on PortlandsCondos.com.
